My name is Michelle, I met the love of my life when I was 18 and we got married when I was 22. We have two little loves Noah and Emma and we live in sunny SWFL.

I started loving photography at a young age, I always took my little digital camera everywhere I went.

Yes I’m that person who is always taking pictures of EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. Since a lot of my family lives in Colombia, I always made sure I was taking pictures of the people I loved the most when I was with them. I love how photography can capture those in between moments where you can look at the picture and it just takes you right back to that day.  It wasn’t until 2018 when I booked one of my friends to take pictures of my family and my extended family, it was a Mothers day shoot.

I have some beautiful timeless pictures of my mom, it was a couple months later my mom passed away unexpectedly in a car accident. I hold those pictures so close to my heart. I am so grateful I have those pictures to show my kids and remember that beautiful day.

It was a little after that I started taking pictures of two local magazines in my area. I love getting to know so many different families and their stories and being able to capture their love and joy.

Photos tell many stories, they fill in the gaps, and you are able to cherish them forever.

The name Light The Sky Photography is inspired by my mother, she always said to look on the bright side and be that light in the world, and I hope to do that with my photography and with the people I meet.
